Wrinkles are creases, fold or ridges in the skin that appear as a natural part of the aging process. As we age, our skin becomes drier, thinner and loss elasticity. Repetitive facial expressions such as smiling, frowning and squinting, coupled with harsh environmental factors such as sun exposure, smoking and alcohol consumption contributes to the formation of wrinkles. Selecting the right treatment modality is essential to prevent and treat wrinkles.

"B” is the world’s most popular cosmetic procedure. This prescription medicine is a muscle relaxant that is used for injection into muscles to temporarily relax overactive and tense muscles. This anti-wrinkle treatment smoothens dynamic wrinkles and unwanted lines, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. It is recommended for: forehead lines, frown lines and smile (crow’s feet) lines. This fast and effective treatment is both a therapautic and preventive measure for treating wrinkles. The early use of small amounts of Botox (called Micro Botox) in key areas can prevent wrinkles, especially around the forehead and frown lines. It has greater concentration of growth factors than whole blood, and has been used to encourage a brisk healing response across several specialties. PRP is injected into target problem areas of the skin where it acts as a matrix that promotes the body’s collagen to grow and regenerates tissues. By utilizing the natural growth factors from your own blood, it helps to reduce pore size, and your skin appears to be rejuvenated with lesser blemishes and reduced fine lines.
5. Fotona Starwalker Laser
Fotona Starwalker has been globally recognized as an ultra-performing PICO Q-switched laser system. This laser harnesses non-invasive light energy to gently stimulate and trigger collagen production and is used to treat mild to moderate fine wrinkle lines. Impressive results can be seen after a 4-5 sessions. The treatment is pain-free and comes with no downtime.
6. Fractional CO2 Laser (Edge one)
Fractional CO2 laser is a very powerful and effective laser for skin resurfacing. It is used for treating static and severe wrinkles mainly around the eyes, upper lip (smokers’ line), cheeks folds as well as jowls and marionette lines. This procedure is chosen if skin tone and texture also need to be addressed. It can be done as part of a laser face lift. The tiny yet powerful laser beams are able to penetrate the skin, delivering therapeutic heat into the skin, stimulating the healing capacity of the skin. New collagen and elastin fibers are produced while the existing collagen undergoes rearrangement and realignment. This results in reduction of lines, grooves and wrinkles, tightening of skin, and improvement of skin tone and texture. 3-4 sessions are required for best results with minimal downtime
7. High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
HIFU is a device commonly used for face and neck tightening and lifting. It is a non-surgical procedure that uses focused ultrasound waves to stimulate and tighten collagen with controlled heating. This highly concentrated and focused ultrasonic energy is delivered deep into the skin at appropriate locations to stimulate the remodeling of the skin’s deep dermal tissue and production of new, more compact collagen fibres without any damage to the epidermis and adjacent tissue. With new collagen being produced, the skin becomes tightened, thus reducing wrinkles and signs of aging in the treated area.
8. Chemical Peel
Chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. A medical peel removes the upper “dead” skin layer at accelerated speed in order to make room for a new, smooth skin. At TDOX, we use mild fruit acids for the treatment therefore, there is no extended downtime and is often referred to as "lunchtime peels". Patients are reminded to use sunscreen after this treatment and stay away from direct sun exposure for at least 7 days.
